That makes me very happy. He's one of my favorite prospects and I see him as an anchor on our second line in the years to come.

I'm glad they signed him. Heard he had an iffy camp, but I think he'll be a good player one day for Calgary. I was happier about this pick than the Nemiesz pick back in that draft.

Hmm, I thought he was well known. There was a contingent of people who weren't happy with the Greg Nemisz pick in the first round (I'm completely happy with Nemisz by the way), and were much happier with Sutter's 2nd selection in that year, Mitch Wahl.
Good to hear Wahl is locked up.

Instead of posting something as pointless as, "never heard of him..." sans punctuation, just look it up in this forum to read about him.

Not criticism at all. I just remember the whole thing during the draft, and some people rating a guy higher, even though he was picked 23 picks later, (absurd to do the day of the draft, really) and making a big deal out of it.

Anyways glad to see he is signed. I got one of his game used sticks from that world juniors last year so hopefully he stays a Flame for a long time.

I'm sorry to say I haven't really kept my eye on him, and remember him mostly for the eyeliner. But good to hear. I do remember hearing some good things about him on draft day.

He will be better than Tavares but not as good as Hodgson.

But will he be better than schremp?
I'm kidding. Wahl's got some great skills and is one of my favorite of the flames prospect pool. He's tied for the lead on a pretty decent Spokane team, so it'll be interesting to see how he progresses in his final year with the team. (I think it's his final year of WHL eligibility )

Personally, I think he's going to be a bust. Hope I'm wrong though.
Nemisz on the other hand.

I just hope that he doesn't melt when the the flames go off when we score a goal (seeing how he is made of wax)

It doesn't work by percentage, I thought the same thing. It is almost like a second contract they negotiate.
Capgeek actually breaks it down for you: http://capgeek.com/players/display.php?pos=F&pid=76352
Chucko makes 85K in the AHL and 650K in the NHL(as you stated).

Having somebody say they have never heard of him indicates that the person is not well known. Which can indicate how unimportant the signing could be. I haven't heard of him either.
But your post is a waste of time and space. Please stick on topic and contribute to the topic of the thread.

I'd just go find out who he is then. Mitch Wahl
