Darn.

I know we can’t afford him. But could you imagine him on our top line?

Lucic would have to go somehow.

Meh. Not terrible, but also not a discount. Doesn't start until next season and runs until he's 37... they'd better hope they get at least 3-4 good years out of it.

I'd have traded him last year if I were running that team.

Considering his output thought the past few seasons, this is actually a fair deal.

I would like to thank the Flames for the Kadri contract giving the Canucks a framework for JT Miller and the two New York teams for low balling assuming that he wouldn't re-sign.

My favourite JT Miller moment was his look of disgust after Lindholm scored following a exhausting 3-4 minute shift in our end before Lindy scores.

The Flames were dead tired, but Lucic caused the turnover while everyone else changed, Toffoli makes an insane pass while falling, and Lindolm comes off the bench and snipes it.

Good player, good deal.

I'm honestly surprised he signed there. It sounded like he wanted out based on his comments about team effort last year.

Very interesting player. Incredible numbers but not very well liked by the analytics community despite decent/good possession numbers:

Dom's model seems to especially hate it.

Sounds about right really.

Canucks need to extend Horvat now, once they do they'll be solidly in cap hell next year and probably not a whole lot better than they are now. So much for the re-build, they really need to find a way to dump OEL. Wherever Benning is now bless him.

I don't think you understand what "cap hell" is, and no, there are many teams that are not there.

I'd be interested to see the WAR under Boudreau. He scored about the same before and after but the rest of the team played considerably better.
