Peluso played for Chicago early in his career, and he probably didn't suffer any concussions in that part of his career. That's my guess as to why Chicago wasn't named.
The lawsuit isn't just about the fact that he suffered concussions, but how the teams he played for and the NHL dealt with them. The seriousness of head injuries was known, but the teams continued to put out gladiators for the crowds entertainment. When they came back to the dressing room with signs of brain injury, like serious disorientation and memory loss, the teams sent them back out. This is no different than smoking lawsuits, where profits were put above the victims health.
Peluso's brain injuries are so extreme that he suffers seizures, cannot drive, and needs to be on constant neurological medication.
If the Calgary Flames put Peluso back on the ice after suffering a concussion without proper or any treatment, then they should rightfully be named in this lawsuit. The Calgary Flames were the last team he played for, and the later part of his career is probably when most of his injuries began to pile up.
