PS3 Media Server (Google it) has been awesome for streaming. It has been able to handle anything that I have thrown at it. I too have heard that the X Box can do it too, but I'm not familiar with the details.

My only wish is that the PS3 web browser was a little more robust and able to handle the latest flash videos. It can handle some, but not all. It would be handy to pop open a web site and watch quick video clips for news, etc.

Yup, I can confirm that PS3 Media Server works basically the same on the 360 as it does on the PS3. Mind you, I haven't streamed something 1080p to the 360 yet, so I don't know what the quality of that would look like.

The only small annoying thing I find with streaming is that you can't really fast forward. It kind of messes up on HD mkv and on rmb files if you try to skip ahead. That's probably my only gripe.

I downloaded the latest beta and it seems to make fast-forwarding a little better. Still not perfect, but no more network errors. I think that I found a link to the beta through their forum.
