Question: What gestures are available on a trackpad vs a magic mouse?
(also, what's available on a magic mouse - just want to make sure what my mouse is all capable of doing)
Edit: beaten i guess!

Haha... maybe instead of saying Mac Enthusiasts, I should have said Mac Exclusiasts?

Wouldn't citizens for hyperbole actually want things to be more hyperbolous?

You're thinking of the Citizens Hyperbole Coalition of Complete World Domination.
The Concerned Citizens for Hyperbole are concerned about the abuse of hyperbole.
People make that mistake all the time.

ALL ABOARD!

If this was part of the keyboard (like the numeric key pad) I would be all over this. However, with a mouse and Wacom tablet my desk space is limited.

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration...

Yeah, that whole "magic" thing has an unfortunate bit of a heterosexually-challenged ring to it.

How are you getting that gesture? My trackpad does three finger left and right mapping to forward and backward pages, but not page up/page down, which would rock.
Oh, and for the love of God, Apple, please enable momentum based trackpad scrolling on all Macbooks - my 13” unibody doesn’t have it (I think some do...), but it would be so nice if it worked the same as my iPad and Touch.
Edit: should have read the whole thread - momentum scrolling is in software update. WOOHOO!
Edit #2 - works exactly like you’d expect...this is niiiiiiice

Can't you drag your thumb and your first finger together on the trackpad to shrink whatever's on your screen - and apart to make it bigger? I learned that from the iPhone - and found out you could do it on the MacBook at the Apple Store...

If it works on the MacBook, then it will work with this.

It sucks that the three finger window drag will only work if you choose not to use three finger navigation.

Odd, i'm not sure ... I don't think I activated anything to do it. It just kinda happens.

it is better than the "Fabulous" New Trackpad
I am also a fan of the trackpad. I never use a mouse on my MBP. After a bit of getting used to I like it way better than the stupid mac mouse. That was $70 I'll never see again.

Well yeah... that's why I mentioned it here.
My friend got the trackpad yesterday. He loves it. Kinda makes me want one, but soon I'll have a MacBook with the same thing anyway.

I've always preferred to use the knob on my laptop, mainly for speed and precision of mouse movement, although they don't seem to make laptops with it anymore.

If you're using MagicPrefs - not much difference.
The difference is that three-finger+ gestures on a magic mouse are challenging.
I didn't think I'd be too interested in the trackpad, but at $70...
