This year he is who you'd expect him to be ... 5-7th in almost every play driving stat.

I have trouble seeing the criticisms of Backlund so nice to see stats backing it up.

He's a 40 point player in an 82 game season.

He's off that pace right now but he's never a first half guy. Typically he gets 4 points in 3 games and brings his pace back up to that same 40 point pace again.

He is what he is.

He doesn't finish well, and likely never will, but plays the 200 foot game well enough to get his points and play his role.
