Not so hot take: the winner of this series makes the finals and probably wins.

Good to see Dougie back. That's a huge add for the Canes.

Thank god for working from home.....literally an entire day of essentially non-stop playoff hockey. 9am to 11pm.

Adding Hamilton is definitely going to be helpful for the canes. IMO, this round has the strongest chance of being an upset in the east. 1-1 so far part way through the second.

Wow this is a fantastic game so far. Boston scores to go up 2-1 and then gets a PP on a failed Carolina challenge and then Carolina scores a shorty while killing said penalty.

Definitely does not have the "morning/afternoon" game feel.

Yeah the pace has been pretty good. Boston with some quality chances to take the lead.

Man Boston really did just flip a switch hey.

Looked brutal in qualifying but have come out and taken it to Carolina a little bit here in game 1.

Guess they probably thought Home Ice for the later rounds means nothing when you aren't actually at home.

I wonder why Carolina went back to Mrazek? Kind of an odd choice.

Its what experience does for a team.

Its a marathon and there is little use for exhausting yourself in a bunch of games that, for them, were really quite meaningless. They dont care who they play.

Don't you speak about the Bruins that way! They're the only thing standing between us and the phrase "2011 Stanley Cup Champions Vancouver Canucks."

Show some respect.

We owe a great debt to both of these teams. Is there a way they both can win?

Canes have tied it up 3-3 in the third. 10 minutes left in regulation.

why did Rask duck on that play? he should have stood tall instead of ducking. Oh well, good job Canes, they are looking pretty good right now in the 3rd.

Yeah...it looked like he was lowering his head so he could see the puck as there was a stick in his field of vision...puck was by him before he adjusted though.
