Dang that's a hell of a tour, I was hoping for a gig within driving distance, here in Calgary is just icing on the cake. But I suspect tickets will dry up pretty damn quick for this one.

Since when is Canada, USA, and a handful of European cities considered a “world tour”?

It's more of a world event than the MLB World Series

Since around the same time a bunch of US cities and Toronto was considered a “North American Tour”.

Since forever considering "world tour" is a very loose term in general.

Wow RATM in Calgary. I only did a quick check but I am pretty sure they’ve never been here. Certainly not as long as I’ve been here.

I think this about sums up my reaction.

NSFW!

This may be the final key band from my teenage years that I’ve yet to see live.

The official seller for the Vancouver date says $170+ fees on their site. The KC date says $125 a ticket.

Good lord.

I fully expect a lot of people being angry at Tom Morello again later this year wondering when Rage "got all political".

$170?! Fata it, I'm going to spend it. I'm still mad at myself for not going to Alice in Chains a year or two ago because I arbitrarily drew the line at $100. Meanwhile, I'll drop that much on a forgettable night eating poutine, drinking beer and taking an uber home from a random bar.

That's my fear. I'm willing to drop the money to be there because I was just hoping to one day catch RTJ. I loved RATM as a teenager and basically as soon as I rolled that cassette and heard that Bombtrack baseline I was in love.

But I do expect that scalpers will get every ticket at 11:01am on Thursday. At that point I guess I'll be posting for advice on how to buy tickets and not get scammed...

I've got tickets to see the Black Crowes at an outdoor amphitheater in Houston, TX in June... I haven't seen them since the early 90's.

RTJ has also played two shows at The Republik. Both were great - it was awesome to see them in a small venue.

First time, Killer Mike played a set, El-P did a set, then they performed RTJ 1 together.

Despot was also at the show, which was pretty cool to see.

Dang decent sticker shock factor on those tickets. I'm gonna still make the attempt Thursday morning, but my hopes are slim.
