If anyone wants to support the Ironwood Stage & Grill in Inglewood (they are hurting due to COVID), Soffritto is selling a special batch of scratch made pasta with all sales proceeds going to the Ironwood. The Ironwood hosts live music in Calgary with up to 400 shows a year. You can get the pasta at all three of their locations; ask for the Ironwood pasta.

Good from Soffrito is great! Their pasta's are great. We will definitely get some of this pasta to support Ironwood Stage & Grill.

That sucks. Their Sunday prime rib is an institution.

Are they allowing Shisha? That honestly seems to be so high risk.

I think they have been closed for awhile. We tried to go there early August and their website said it was closed.

edit:

According to their facebook they have been closed since March

Lots of restos staybopen because they have rent. Having 30% capacity probably makes minimal profit. Just stay shut and ride out

Had a fantastic meal (second meal out since Covid) at Von Der Fels, they just re-opened. Extremely delicious Tempura, Green Tomato and Mortadella sandwich, Squid Cerviche two way, which was a stunning South America style dish, Fogo island shrimp on buttermilk waffle.

They put up safety barriers, reduced capacity and have added some cocktails, but it was very intimate and a nice night out. Felt like I was traveling in another city and I can't emphasize how good the cuisine is. The owner was really excited to be back and they are booking into October.

We went for lunch there often pre-covid. Everything on the menu is really good, including the pizza.

I received this offer today from AMEX and The Guild and I'm wondering if it is worth ordering:

Indulge in a three (3) course set menu for the perfect dinner for two (2) experience at home.1 As a valued American Express Cardmember, enjoy this menu for the special price of $50, inclusive of gratuities and taxes.

Menu includes*:
-Selection of bread and crostini with honey‑whipped butter and roasted garlic hummus
-Harvest squash soup with roasted Alberta squash, coconut cream, spiced pumpkin seeds and green onion oil
-Dijon-marinated flank steak with potato dauphinoise, coal‑roasted heirloom carrots and chimichurri sauce
-German gluten‑free chocolate cake with mocha filling, praline‑toasted almonds and stone fruit sauce
