I think the boys will rattle off another small winning streak! I'm hoping to see 3-0 to finish off November (phx,Dallas,L.A). All games this team should win.

I expect another offensive explosion. Guessing Smith starts and lets in a couple softies, but the team provides some goals.
6-2
Neal x 2
Jankowski
Bennett
And the top line does the rest

This team needs to prove that there aren’t road kill. Some of their worst stretches have been on the road. They’ve been out played for the most part on the last two road trips.

Smith hasn't started in 10 days and has gotten the lions share of work in the past 2 practices. We need to come to terms with him starting again soon. Even if it isn't today.

Yeah we can't just ride Rittich all season, Smith is going to have to play games so hopefully he will get it together soon.

Someone had posted it in the HF Flames game thread. Which means it is probably wrong. And yup, that post is gone.

I'm good with Smith starting. Previous team in his previous barn. Can't play Rittch every game. And it's not like the Coyotes are a high powered offence.
This is a good stepping stone game for him to build a little confidence and have the team believe in him again. Rooting hard for the return of Mike Jesus Smith.

Sure, but why put Smith in while Rittich is still playing well unless it's a back to back? I get that Rittich isn't playing every game for the rest of the year but it's not like he's played 20 games in a row now.

That's the mentality that leads to him playing 20 in a row.
There's not many better games to run your backup in than against Arizona. If the Flames can't beat them it won't be Smith's fault. Keller is leading their team with 13 points. These guys are not offensive juggernauts.

Because we want Rittich to keep playing well and not getting tired. He’s never played over 50 starts in a season I bet.
Because it’s in our best interest to get Smith playing decent again. And he won’t be able to do that with zero starts.

Because if you realize Rittich can’t start all season then you need to find strategic spots to get Smith some games. And since Rittich is being leaned on at the moment for home games then it makes sense to give Smith the occasional road game. It’s in the Flames best interest to have both goalies going. Gonna need Smith for back to backs and in case Rittich ever gets injured.

If anyone can find a way to make the Coyotes offense look unstoppable, it's Mike Smith. He's completely done.

Dumb statement. Smith has been up and down but he’s far from “completely done”
