It's going to be fun watching the Jays waste 4 years with this manager.

Classic game management by Montoya when you think about it. When things were going smoothly you f it up. Moron.

btw... Shoemaker threw 54 pitches in his start last week.
there is no justifying 34 pitches, no matter how hard you try

And some pundits want Montoyo to be manager of the year. The Jays are in the playoffs because of the bats and in spite of all of Montoyo’s “advanced” game management.

But it's switching from a Righty to a Lefty which must work to mix up the other team...
I'm looking forward to seeing his interview after the game.

But he threw way more pitches than that in his last start.

But that happens regardless - Shoemaker was coming out at some point.
The mistake is not getting as many quality innings as you can

It’ll be classic Montoyo.

Shoe with 9 outs on 35 pitches and no runs.
Ray already with 27 pitches and just 3 outs with a run given up.

Well just one hit ball. Run scored on a passed ball.

Despite baseball being such a numbers driven game you have real dummies in the game who overthink and make really silly moves. It’s only 1-0 but I can’t believe when things are going so smooth you make that move.

Hard to find words to justify that decision, up there with the worst Montoyo has made this season.
