I doubt Gaudreau takes face-offs if that's what you're suggesting.

How does Dave Cameron still have a job? I like the personnel but the tactics are just so hopeless.

Honestly at this point they would be better if they ignored that it was a PP and just continued to roll 4 lines.
edit: well ok, roll 3 lines

i wish, i really wish that on our top PP, as the dman carries the puck up the ice, the play should be like a football read option!
It's a simple If/Then/Else logic as the dman brings the puck up the ice, and depending on how the PK is positioned, he can a) bump the puck back to a trailing gaudreau, b) kick the puck out wide to another forward, c) dump the puck in.
I am absolutely sick watching this team force the bump back every frigin time. I have no idea if that's on just bad coaching or players not using their heads and figuring out the other options there as they bring up the puck, but this is the NHL. Be better.

Especially against the Wild. The Flames still owe them for the 21 slashes on Johnny game last year. Every time the Wild take a penalty, the slowest Flame on the ice needs to take a free slash on the Wild's best player on the ice. Guarantee this leads to more success than the current powerplay.

Would love to see Bennett feed Staal a couple of right hooks. Staal is one of the more underrated dirtier guys in the league.

Staal is still owed a broken hand or a few fingers.

Glad Kulak is back in again, but for forwards I would so much rather see...
Gaudreau-Monahan-Ferland
Bennett-Backlund-Tkachuk
Mangiapane-Jankowski-Hathaway
Lazar-Hrivik-Brouwer
Even for one game. Anyway, big game, I think the Flames come out firing, 4-1 for the good guys. Go Flames!!

If you are doing it that way then Gio-Dougie on the first unit and Brodie-Stone on the second

Good point, put Ferland in front of the net for Stones shot.

The Wild are very good at home. This will be a tough one.
Flames have a good thing going so far with this 3 game winning streak, so hopefully that strong play will carry over into this road trip. They need a good extended run over these next few games to really put themselves in a good spot.

I don't think we will see Hrivik in until we lose. Those PP lines look as stupid as ever.

Stone's shot would be great on the PP but the biggest problem is he always gets his shots blocked or misses the net so bad we're having to gain the zone again.
The skill of getting the puck to the net from the point is so underrated.

|
The biggest issue is that the players don't move once they are in the offensive zone—they are far too stationary. I don't think this is as much a coaching issue as it is how players are executing. "Dave Cameron's" power play was one of the best in the entire league for most of last year, and again through November this season.
