Watching the Leafs feed. Chris Cuthbert on play by play. Why Rogers hasn't moved a Brinks truck to get and Gord Miller to Sportsnet is beyond me consider their awful national announcers beyond Hughson.

Taking a while to get to 5000

TSN backed the truck up first. When Rogers got the NHL deal TSN immediately locked up all their top talent to big deals.

TSN is such a better production. Sure miss watching games on TSN.

Would be great if the leafs bombed and the country was forced to get behind the Flames or Jets in the spring, easily the two least represented and most underrated teams by media north of the border.

Duthie at the intermission:
“And we’ll hear from Oilers GM Pete Chiarelli on the current tire fire that he’s trying to manage out there.”

Help, save, whatever.

So you guys had the Wideman effect, Leafs have the Babcock effect?
Leafs have one of the worst penalty differentials in the league.
Plus I love this line change that led to the BlueJackets game winning goal. Look how far away the Jackets player going off is from his bench.

Sportsnet has good PBP announcers besides Hughson. There's Rick Ball and John Shorthouse who do call national games.
Rogers did get the Brinks there first and tried very hard to get James Duthie, but, Duthie was very clear in that he wanted to remain with Bell and TSN no matter how much money Rogers would throw his way. From what I've heard, Miller enjoys calling the World Juniors and the odd CFL game which TSN owns in addition to the TSN NHL regional games. Bell allows him to work in the USA and do PBP NHL games for NBCSN.

It would be awesome if either or both teams were the only canadian teams to make the playoffs. All sport networks in Canada, english and french, would be brought to their knees.
