The candy bracket is here!!
With the abomination of the potato chip bracket behind us, it is now time to crown your favorite candy.
Twizzlers? Pop rocks? Skittles?
Let's settle this thing once and for all.

I think I voted for every sour candy there was. I clearly have a type.
These polls are going to be the death of me. Now I need to go and get a bunch of candy that's terrible for you.
Are we going to do one of these for chocolate bars next?

Jujubes vs Blue Whales was tough. Had to go with jujubes.

I am interested to see how this plays out. Clearly the front runners have to be wine gums and green frogs. Sour soothers and Coke bottles a close, 2nd tier.
Dino-sours and Cherry blasters can get stuffed.

Oh boy hi-chews and wine gums are both really good.
But you kind of have to have a really sweet tolerance.

Unrelated to the poll, but the 7/11 branded gummies (in the sealed bags) are so good. Pretty much everything is the best version. Super soft and flavorful. The Wine gums are not as much a traditional wine gum, but are just packed with juicyness. Highly recommended.

Ouch, Fuzzy Peaches and Jelly Beans squared off in the first round. Tough decision on that one.

Thrills were the best. Never share your gum again! Also, soap candies from England are the bomb.
Does anyone remember Tubble Gum? Was served in a toothpaste tube and had the weirdest consistency.

The toughest one for me to vote on was the coke bottles vs. the Hi Chew. Both are awesome.

There should be a bracket for chips/candy/snacks that are no longer available.

Fixed.
I also have a memory of gum that came packaged as smokes as well.
They were wrapped in white paper and came in a faux cigarette pack. You could blow through them and "smoke" appeared then you took off the paper and chewed the gum.
Found photo and this website:

Also remember black licorice cigars and pipes.
Start 'em young.

I think many of these retro candies are produced again for sale at boutique candy shops.

If sour chews doesn't win this will rightly reflect very poorly on Calgary as a community
