I avoided peters for about a year after a Particularly soggy burger.
I find most places in general put way to much sauce/condiments
on their burger/sandwiches. So now I just order easy suace or no
Sauce, and its made my peters and other burger experiences
Way better. But it's kinda hard to communicate the fact that I want
No sauce through the order box.
Sometimes ill just get a bun and patty. I want the
Toppings, but not a sogafied bun that looks like
it fell in the sink. Peters is ok, but For me the best burg in town
Is a smash burger. With sauce on the side

Tried Peters the other day after years.. needless to say it will be years before I go back again. Burgers are terrible. Shakes are meh. The drive through option where you need to reach across the passenger side of your car to pay is also stupid. A&W Mama burgers taste like heaven in comparisson.

I don't know about you guys, but I definitely go there to get attacked by wasps while eating in the parking lot picnic area.

Was there a month or two ago, and there was a mouse running out from a hole in the wall to grab fallen fries. People shrugged their shoulders and ordered anyway.

I used to love taking the family to Peters. But this new ownership is just using the name. JMO they have changed the burgers, the sauce is the same but the patties are not the same quality Gus had.
The shakes are still good but getting to be an obscene price and yes the fries have changed for the worse.
It is only Peters by name now. The new ownership has ruined a good longtime Calgary treat.

I drove by there yesterday and the lineup was blocking the right-hand lane on 16th for almost a full block. Why anyone would wait that long for "fast" food is puzzling to me.
I'm not going to lie, I do enjoy a shake from there every now and then. And occasionally those greasy onion rings hit the spot (although usually followed by shame and regret). But I honestly couldn't see anyone getting through that line in less than an hour.

I guess I'm one of the few who enjoy their burgers, sauce & all, but then I haven't had one in a few years so not sure what they're like now versus my memory of them.
As for the fries, I always used to get onion rings so the change won't really impact me...long live the rings & the always delicious shakes!

Poutine might actually make those fries edible.
