City are not going to do that. They will stomp on United's throats.

I don’t know. I could see United drubbing us this weekend. We can’t score, can hardly stop others from scoring and our manager has shown no propensity to improve things or make changes as the game goes. We rested our starting 11 against Vitesse, losing 1-0 there only to lose 1-0 to West Ham and registered no shots on goal in the second half. I don’t share your confidence that this team will beat United. It’s worse than Dr. Tottenham, it’s Surgical specialist Tottenham because we’re exactly what United needs at this point.

I could see United eke out a result against Spurs or Atalanta, and they'll pat themselves on the back for sticking with Ole. Then City will take them behind the woodshed and we're back to square one.
The most damning thing is that those idiots really got caught with their pants down. It's painstakingly obvious that they didn't spend a single second thinking about a possible change in the weeks leading up to the Liverpool game, therefore all the scrambling and meetings yesterday/today. That's really the thing that irks me the most because it was obvious to anybody that the tough schedule coupled with the poor performances could lead to something like this. How can this catch you so off-guard? How is that level of incompetence allowed at a massive club like United? It's mind-boggling.
And I love SAF as much as any other United fan, but there's no place for sentimental feelings here. It's not even fair to Solskjaer himself ... the end result of him getting the sack will be the same in a week or two, but he'll unnecessarily be the subject of additional fan outrage now.

Frankly, Liverpool should be getting a cut of all of Manchester United's TV revenue!
Because the only reason to watch United now is to see the post-Liverpool fallout.

MU will beat the Spurs and get a draw against City and the show will go on. You know this will happen.

Are you insinuating that the team that finished 2nd last season are nothing more than an expensive mid-table side?

Well I think United has a good squad and good group of players. Maybe a defensive midfielder would be good to help the back line a little, but they’ve got plenty of good players in every position. The issue is apparent, and once they come to grips with firing him and getting a proper manager, that team will be back in the top four.
For Spurs though, it’s not so simple. We’ve got our two best players in their late 20’s, one of whom doesn’t want to be there anymore and he’s totally disinterested. We seem to have one good CB and a keeper who’s good. We’ve got a couple good DMs, but the link is questionable. Ndombele looks good, but a lot of questions surround his fitness. And lastly, the LB/RB haven’t been great. Reguilon is OK, and so far Royal has been about the same. Part of our issue is the players and then you add Nuno is seemingly no plan to execute, and it’s a mess.
tldr; Spurs have more problems.

Lol! SAF trundles about Carrington during United's training.
Reports are unclear as to whether or not he was wearing a dark cloak and carrying a scythe...

So let's just suppose Ole manages to pull off three straight wins....then what? Does that get him the rest of the season? Three more games after that? Until they are out of top four for next season? It's been said by many others, but if you've reached the point of "You've only got X amount of games to turn things around", things are probably already too far gone.

This is what makes it so much fun!
United have gone the 'Hitman' route with LVG and Mourinho.
"The squad is good! They just need a great manager!"
Yeah...no.
Then they've tried the 'Legend' route with Ole.
Frankly, I dont know what they're going to do now. They dont appear to have the appetite to rebuild the thing from the ground up. They've got some young players who are okay.
But they're going in the opposite direction. Their 'Main Men' for the last little while have been....Ibra, Cavani and Ronaldo.
Maybe their plan is to make Ronaldo a Player/Coach?
I know that suggestion seems absurd but it would not surprise me at this point.

Well disappointingly, I think that Pochettino is going to wind up there. I don't want to see that, but I could see it coming to be. And of course, they could just nab Conte. It would turn things around for them for sure and they're going to be top four again if that happens.

Why on Earth would Poch leave PSG? At the moment he has more money than God.
Conte? Hahahahaha! That would be great! Sign him up! Remember when Louis was winning games by a goal through occasional miracles and the fans just loved that!
Bring in Conte! Nothing like signing up the only dude who doesnt have anything better to do!

Well there have been rumours that PSG isn't enthralled with him. Of course, he's not leaving on his own accord (and who would, from any of these clubs). I still think Conte would be the replacement at this point, but I can see Poch going there.
Conte isn't like LVG or Mourinho though. He seems more pragmatic, and Chelsea wasn't terrible to watch under him.

Another one.
Was running his mouth this time last year about the virtues of Mourinho and The Sun whilst showing he didn't even know the frickin name of the team.
Then, like Slava.....Silence for twelve months. The Terence and Phillip of THFC.

What's your solution then?
Another high profile name like Mou or VG.
It was always going to be let's see how things pan out to the city game.

Hahahahah....hilarious.
Now try and put some thought in and enlighten us by elaborating on why you feel Conte is a terrible choice?

look, I don't have the perfect answer here. The timing is obviously terrible (as it has often been for United over the last few years) because there isn't a no-brainer available to take over, but I honestly can't think of a worse decision than keeping Ole on board. There's simply no coming back from this, and everybody knows it. When there's leaks of him losing the room and players not trusting him anymore, it's over. They're simply stalling and delaying the inevitable ... it's not like there'll be better candidates available in a week or so. All you do is making sure that Solskjaer suffers more fan abuse.
I'm scared of Conte too, but he'd whip this group into shape and give them some structure. And frankly, I don't see any other realistic option here. Pochettino isn't available, Zidane isn't interested, ten Hag surely wouldn't come during the season.
