Default edit and quote not working?

When I quote posts the text box in my reply just goes blank, also when I go to edit a post it shows no text.

If I hit save it says I haven't hit the minimum characters, so the text box is indeed blank.

It only happens on certain posts.

I just tried to edit three posts,

-one post wouldn't let me before I posted here (things went blank)
- I posted here
-went back to the same thread tried again on two different posts - the previous one still wouldn't let me, but it would let me edit a different post in that same thread,
-came back here and I can edit this post.

Any ideas? And it lets me edit, it just deletes all the text before I edit. If I hit cancel the original text remains.

ty!

I think it's a bug between Firefox and the forum software javascript, if you use a different browser it will likely work fine.

It only seems to happen on posts that contain a special character. I.e if the post has “ ” type quotes rather than " " it would likely have a problem. You probably can't quote this post because of the “ ” quotes

I don't know your browser, just the things you're describing seem to only be experienced by Firefox so was a guess.

Might be other special characters causing it the quotes usually cause it I'd have to look at the specific post, but if the quoting doesn't work in Firefox and does work in Chrome that's the bug/incompatibility.

Weird, when I switch to chrome on an issue post I can't quote, it fixes it for me! Maybe make a new thread with the details in case Proton doesn't see this as he may think its for my issue
