Adding Ryan to Karlsson, especially with no retention, will certainly reduce the return they get, but not that much IMO. The only piece they are getting for the future in that deal is Fox. Senators fans would justifiably riot.

Eklunds ties to Philly and that area are strong. If he brings up Philly theres a legitimate chance he's right. The rest, well thats up for debate.
Still, the Hate for Eklund is funny as he's never made any bones about this being entertainment. He is what he is. And he still does it after many many years. The fact that his really bad showing on Sportsnet deadline day many years ago didn't kill his career off is a testament to that.

i think its the nature of fandom scouring the interwebz for any kernels of information...that's the reason for Eklund still being around.
i don't hate Eklund...but i pretty much ignore anything he puts out... which is why i was wondering whether something had changed and whether he was making some legitimate connections...

Flames related. He threw a TON of mud about Bouwmeester to CGY back in the day. It hit. Think he broke Jokinen 2.0 and that nightmare .

Haha here comes the speculation from Matheson that the Flames would trade Hamilton to the Oilers for the 10th OA and a forward.

That seems ridiculous but you may be right. Would definitely make for better entertainment to announce the trades at the draft. If all the fireworks happened days or hours before the draft, it would take a lot of the excitement away.
I can be patient wait for the Mark Stone to Calgary trade announcement

The only saving grace is that 2019 1st could be a lottery pick.
