I’m a hockey parent and level 2 coach, maybe my odds were higher? I haven’t done it yet but now that I know the questions that are on it I’ll be filling that out.

The only one I had from them was for a training survey. Bummer. I am also a Level 2 coach so it must have been random.

Dillon Dube's first comment regarding the WJC incident, tweeted by Eric Francis, was: “I’ve cooperated in any way possible and will continue cooperating. I’ve done everything I can to cooperate.”

Not overly reassuring when you consider that many other players commented "I'm cooperating, but I wasn't there."

you can say you weren't there and lie. It's not like people are under oath in an interview.

How long is the investigation supposed to take? Is there new evidence that wasn’t previously reviewed? New witnesses?

If there isn’t I’m not sure why it’s getting drawn out. Other than for political theater.

Curious if the case is reopened and ends with a different result does the payout from the non disclosure agreement have to be returned? Not sure how binding the agreements are or whether there are out clauses.

This is where I'm at on Dube. Until he says he wasn't present in the room I am assuming he was in the room. Then the only other thing to know is was he a participant or not.

Basing guilt on whether or not a player claims to have been in the room is stupid anyways.

Maybe for a guy who didn’t attend the event at all, sure. But for anyone else who attended, saying you were or weren’t in the room doesn’t mean a whole lot. In the room before? After? During? Participant in the assault? Witnessed the assault? Found out later? Had no idea it ever happened?

It’s ways more complicated than “I never attended the event”. Even for those guys, they may have known about, have heard rumours, seen pics/videos, texted with teammates. Maybe not guilty of the assault but did nothing to report it after the fact.

So while I’d prefer it I’d Dube was out of the country or something at the time, I think saying he’s cooperating is about the best we can hope for considering a bunch of players probably haven’t cooperated at all. Cooperating is better than wall of silence.

There's nothing in that video outside of a player saying that he's cooperating and can't get into specifics. Not sure how anyone could jump to any conclusions from it.
