There are all sorts of things that we make slower on purpose to placate strugglers. Adding a bunch of stop signs where they aren't necessary seems like a bad plan to me.
I'm reminded of an old thought: "What kind of world would we live in if we removed warning labels and liability for stupid or unintended uses of something"
Won't make a difference, they don't even understand the rules at a 4-way.
You only need to spend a little bit of time at the Costco in Beacon Hill to realize that 4 way stop signs are incredibly difficult to grasp for today's drivers. There's a 4 way stop sign at the exit which is a disaster at times with people jumping the gun and going into the intersection out of order. It's actually frightening that so many drivers on the roads really don't understand most traffic rules outside of the very basics like green means go and red means stop.

You should hear the deluge of calls we get when lights are flashing red in all directions (or worse, just plain out in all directions)...along with the demands the police come out and direct traffic because people can't figure out what to do and the traffic is snarling up horribly...
My favourite is the four-way stop where one driver is there first and waves everyone through because he/she doesn’t know how to handle a four-way stop.
‘I’ve let everyone else go first but you, new guy, you go ahead because I’m too stupid to do this correctly.’

I thought uncontrolled intersections were there to fail people on driving tests
At 4 way stops if there anything resembling a tie I go. I don't even stop, I roll forward and go. Have no time to wait for strugglers. 99% they'll stop. 1% they'll try to go too but will brake because I'm already in the intersection.

Oh your one of those ****** who think they are clever by getting to the line first even though they didn't stop, therefor have the right of way and cruise right through it.

Funny that. This morning I was approaching a 4 way, and I see a vehicle to my left. They see me and give up on slowing down, and hit the gas! Guess they didn't want to risk the uncertainty of who should go(it would have been me, being on the right). Yes, I still stopped at the now empty intersection. Cyclists though! Just the worst!

You drive like an idiot.

Well, that's one way to be a #### on the road. Hopefully you're not driving with kids like that. Even at a 1% clip, I guess you're probably getting into accidents every few months. Wild.
