This museum held the oldest human skeleton found in the Americas, along with one of the biggest collections of Egyptian artefacts in the world. This is an indescribable loss.

That's because the hole was made from the inside of the spacecraft, and appears to have been made by a drill.
The reports quote Rogozin's televised comments that there were several attempts at drilling, the drill had been held by a wavering or faltering hand, and there were traces of the drill sliding along the surface.
Meanwhile, the same news agency reported that a Russian federal politician, former cosmonaut Maxim Suraev, says he doesn't rule out the possibility that the hole was drilled by a "mentally unstable member of the ISS crew."
I didn't read the article - How many people are on the station? They must have an idea of who wouldn't do this. I wonder if the culprit will get floated?
There are 6 people on the station. I'm sure they were all vetted 10 times over before they got to go up. Strange situation though, that is for sure.

So, they hope to reach out and combat lack of engagement with science and scientific thinking by holding an event in which scientists speak along with a symphony orchestra? I mean, it seems like a cool event but I don't imagine it would do anything but preach to the converted.
