They didn't even try. At all. And I don't mean try to comply with the order, they didn't even try to hide it. Pure laziness, and belief that he can't get away with anything.

Trump’s Truth Social App Blocked From Google Play Store
Quote:
Truth Social, the would-be Twitter competitor created by Trump Media and Technology Group, remains unavailable on the Google Play store.
Google said the app lacks effective systems for moderating user-generated content, which violates the store’s terms of service.
“On Aug. 19, we notified Truth Social of several violations of standard policies in their current app submission and reiterated that having effective systems for moderating user-generated content is a condition of our terms of service for any app to go live on Google Play,” the tech company, which is owned by Alphabet, told CNBC in a statement Tuesday.
Pure insanity. A mentally unstable man-child who think he's above any law just leaving classified docs laying on the carpet in his house. He doesn't care. He thinks he can do anything he wants.
Charge him, prosecute him, throw him in jail. Enough is enough. Riots, cults, whatever, who cares.

What are the odds that Republicans are slow playing this Trump thing right now? They must certainly recognize that Trump is unelectable - which is all they really care about - and that he is likely headed to an indictment, so they could be using this as a distraction to keep the spotlight off of DeSantis and prevent a long-term vetting of that nutbar. Keeping up appearances of support, while providing none, would keep his base on their side and not split the party and then keep the media away from DeSantis. It is important to keep the media spotlight off DeSantis for as long as possible or they could leave themselves with no significant candidates come 2024. Conversely, it is important for the American people to see what the Florida Governor is all about as soon as possible so they can quickly cast him to the ash pile of GOP candidates. DeSantis is much more dangerous than Trump because he has a functioning brain and knows how to implement policy. The Republicans really need to keep DeSantis tucked away at the periphery of the fray and keep the focus on Trump's legal woes.

I don’t think they are as organized as a group prior to the primary as you think and I don’t think vetting works as you think.
They definitely get talking points from the RNC but I don’t think it’s as coordinated to help a Santis candidate like you state.

Whatever the worst case scenario is with the fallout from him being charged pales in comparison to the future we’re looking at if this is brushed aside.

The Republicans are VERY organized. The infrastructure they have built over the years is mind blowing. How many political parties have their own media companies, have their own think tank establishment, have their own policy organization where businesses pay to be members and gain access to governance? Only the Republicans. They have their preferred candidates and their preferred strategic initiatives to push forward and they do it ruthless efficiency for the most part. This is a party that is able to focus on local, state, and federal races to affect the cultural and legal change they demand. The fact you don't seem to comprehend this speaks to your lack of understanding of the nature of American politics and how the mechanisms are so skewed. Trump is a confounding factor in execution of their strategy but has been seen as a useful idiot in flying high cover for pushing the extremities of that strategy. McConnell and the RNC masterfully used the Trump noise to stack the court and defeat Roe v. Wade. They will do worse with DeSantis in office.
I understand how vetting works quite well thank you. The Republicans have vetted their candidates and know what they have, and whether they will maintain their purity test and pledge. This is exactly why they privately hate Trump and want him gone but have to appease his nutbar base by putting up the appearances of a defense. The Republicans want candidates they can control and have them stick to the script. Trump and his ilk are not that way. They know what they have in DeSantis, what he stands for, and how well they can work with him. DeSantis forwarded the GOP agenda to a tee in Florida and the RNC has a boner believing he can do the same for them.
The vetting I was referring to is the public vetting that candidates receive through the media. This is where the people - the voters - get to know the candidate and have the opportunity to expose all of the candidates' dirty little secrets. DeSantis has not faced that same scrutiny outside the state of Florida, so it is important for the media to have access and focus on deconstructing the candidate. It's why the Republicans may just be enjoying watch Trump slowly burn as the attention is kept on Trump and away from DeSantis. The more focus they keep away from DeSantis means less time drilling into his draconian behaviors as the Governor of the Stats of Florida.

I think you're the one who may be a little distracted by the theatre of politics and the pomp and circumstance of the primary process. Both parties know who they want well in advance and take steps to protect those candidates as best they can. Santis [sic] is the best thing to come along for Republicans in decades, and they know it. His willingness to execute an agenda is battle tested. The excitement about the candidate even at the state and local levels is something I've never seen before this early in the process. Something major would have to happen to derail the DeSantis train, and the Republicans are doing everything they can to keep him in bubble wrap. Trump has his supporters, but not from the RNC. The only way they bail on DeSantis is it looks like he is unelectable, like the majority of the candidates that have approached the party about throwing their hats in the ring.

Ya, I don't agree with a lot of this when it comes to coordination to support a primary candidate in the party establishment this far out - e,g, Trump 2016
I also think you're confused about how vetting works
