So all the girls getting hurt, losing scholarships and spots on teams can eat #### because you're not concerned? I think they already know that.
People dedicate their lives to sport to win. "You play to have fun and make friends" are words of comfort for a child, not motivators for a competitive athlete.
Normalizing this doesnt make it go away, it would only accelerate the impact on female sport.
Your argument here is circular. You're arguing that trans athletes should not be considered girls when it comes to sports, and you're defending that argument by saying that if a trans athlete gets a scholarship, then girls lost a scholarship.
That only works if you already presume that trans athletes should not be considered girls and that they should not be eligible for those scholarships.
If you agree that trans athletes can be girls, then girls are still getting those scholarships.
As a more general comment on how I feel about this; it sucks to be trans. If the one damned thing you can get out of it is that you get to be good at a sport and there's some scholarship which might be easier for you than someone else, I don't see that as a massive issue.
There just aren't enough trans women who are into sports for this to be a real problem.
I knew a girl in elementary school who was intersex. It was hard to comprehend back then but she said she used to have both body parts down there so I assume she had surgery to hide the male bits. She seemed like a girl in every way except she was the biggest kid in our class and beat just about everyone in sports.
Do these people have a problem with someone like her? She would have a vagina if you looked but she might have internal testicles pumping out testosterone. Is it fair for her to compete with girls? Of course, but she probably has every advantage a trans woman does, so why don't we hear about banning intersex women?
Caster Semenya is a South African runner that the Olympic committee forced to take testosterone suppressors.
Kind of ridiculous IMO. Kind of like barring Shaq from competing in basketball because he is too tall.
As a method of defining a protected class of athletes at an elite level setting a limit for testosterone production is likely one of the more reasonable ways of doing so.
Gonna be hilarious watching the Democrats put all of their eggs in the Jan. 6th basket and then be completely surprised when the polls don't budge.
You don't think they'll be bringing up Roe vs Wade, or gun control? There's some low hanging fruit for them and if they walk and chew gum at the same time they can bring them all up.

Hard core Republicans won't be swayed by these hearings. We can only hope that moderate Republicans are open minded enough to see the truth behind Donald Trump and his actions.

Only a complete moron doesn’t know the truth, all the republicans know the truth they just want it swept away from their voters. I think these hearings will get enough of these voters to open their minds and if the AG charges Trump criminally there won’t be as much uprisings.

It's about holding on to power vs the truth. Even the wins by Raffensberger and Kemp in Georgia have not stopped Republicans from repeating the big lie and or trying to gain his support in the ongoing primaries.
In speeches from Elise Stefanik and Kevin McCarthy, both said they need to protect Donald Trump and are doing what they can to dissuade Republicans from watching these hearing. Calling it a deflection from the real issues facing Americans like high gas prices and inflation.
Fox News chose not to cover the prime time hearings. Now given the toxic nature of poltics in the States, that's a good number of Republican voters who won't be watch cause their network isn't covering it. The same ones that don't watch CNN or MSNBC etc.
