The time for video review in the Premier League was years ago. That shouldn't be a goal.

I've seen worse. If the arsenal players defended instead of crying they could have prevented the goal

I kind of like their careful approach though. Ref workshops, several tests, clear rules ... I'm sure they'll implement it next season and I'm sure it'll work a lot better than in Germany at the moment. There's been so much controversy and discussions about VAR there that it'll be a long way before it's fully accepted and a normal and helpful part of the game. I prefer the PLs approach.

Kante back. Elbows is on the bench. Hopefully Mkhitaryan is on a short leash.

Ozil and Sanchez no shows only reinforces that they should have been sold in the summer. Now Arsenal gotta hope they can get 10 cents on the dollar in January.

I do hate how soccer players often stop or raise their arms when they think a pass has gone to an offside player.
"Play until the whistle" really should be embedded in the minds of soccer players.

Pathetic, albeit predictable, that this game is on Sportsnet World.

pretty interesting game so far ... not the snoozefest I feared.
United look pretty unstructured though, the back three have looked shaky. Chelsea better so far.

Yes. It's now a matter of injuries to City, and even then look at the three guys who came off the bench today for City. Jesus, Gundogan and Bernardo Silva would start for basically every other team in the league. Just too good and too deep.

I believe hell hath truly frozen over....I actually agree with Jose Mourinho.
Quote:
Conte appeared to choose to celebrate with his players on the pitch after the final whistle at Stamford Bridge rather than shake Mourinho's hand.
And the United manager told reporters: "You want me to go and chase him in the middle of the pitch? I was there.
"I shook hands with the people who were there. I think one of them was his brother, the assistant, so I feel that, by shaking the hands of his brother and the other assistants, I did my duty.
"I cannot go and run to chase him."

Yup. Conte may have gotten caught up, but he ran off, Mou shook hands with the staff that was there, but its not his job to hang around and wait or chase him.
I'd bet Conte just got overly enthusiastic, but you shake your opponent's hand and then go and celebrate with your players.
Seriously though, Conte's Doctor must watch Chelsea games and just start writing out blood pressure prescriptions.

Thay game time every Sunday, with it being the premium sky Sunday game in the UK and normally a good one, is always on Sportsnet world if it's their game
What is pathetic about it?

I don't know. Players get carded celebrating with fans (which is ridiculous and should be allowed IMO), but he can do whatever he wants? I think it's classless. I could kind of understand getting carried away if they scored in the final kick of the game for the 1-0 win, but that wasn't the case.

Conte ran away. If you're supposed to shake hands after the match then do it and then run away, Mourinho was standing a few feet away, I get that Conte loses his head and goes nuts, but hes been a manager long enough to know the drill, shake the other manager's hand and then go run around like a lunatic.
But you cant expect Mourinho to just hang around the tunnel waiting for Conte to regain his senses, if anyone is in the wrong here its Conte.
If I was in Mourinho's shoes I'd have done exactly the same thing, shrug my shoulders, shake hands with the staff that are still there and then head down to the tunnel to my own players to do my own job.

Mark Hughes is so upset that there's handshake drama and he's not involved

Could care less about handshakes.
I recognise that it was the press and not Mourinho that brought it up but in a way karma for his behaviour towards Paul Lambert and Keane.
Conte, I'm willing to give a pass as he was possibly caught up in the moment but Mourinho's behaviour then was calculated.
Much ado about nothing.
