The funny thing about tennis is that yes you can play badly, but so much of your game and execution relies on what is going on across the net. To not fully acknowledge that her opponent is a main reason behind the poor play is just weak. Her 43% first serve rate is partly on her and partly on the fact that she was forcing bigger serves into tighter, riskier spaces to try and keep Bianca on the ropes.
Say you played badly, but you better be sure to say you played badly because of my opponents game when it is so glaringly obvious.
Exactly, this is what a classy player would have said.
Speaking of Felix, him and Milo's are representing Canada in the first ever ATP Cup in January as the #18 seed. The tournament is actually worth 750 points so they are really trying to push this as important. Serbia is the #1 seed, followed by Spain and Switzerland.
The ATP Cup draw was today, Canada is in group F with Germany, Greece and host Australia so it's going to be tough to win the group. If they do somehow manage to win the group, they will play the winner of Group C which includes Switzerland, Belgium,UK and a wild card team to be announced later. The way it works is round robin play in your group consisting of 2 singles matches and a doubles match.

Yeah, that's a tough group, no doubt about it. The States got a tough draw as well with Russia, Italy, and a yet to be determined country.
Good to see Bianca back on court today. I have to think the last 10 days has just been a whirlwind of activity for her, time to start pounding some balls again.
The one on the right made me wince a bit... I mean, dude is like 2 inches from her face. It looks like an engagement photo. He's 47. She's 19. He's clearly not doing shot that with FAA if he wins a major.
It's a little bit weird.

It's kind of a Trudeau signature pose. He does this super intimate, lean in close, face to face thing, always with women. I can't think of anyone else who does this regularly.
It's always struck me as mildly weird though not worthy of comment. But when it's a 19 year old on the other end... yeah, no. Take that club out of your bag, sir.
