No lineups yet. Would be nice to get some goaltending just to calm us all down!

The Canucks projected lineup is really bad based on yesterday's practice. I haven't checked to see if that meets the minimum veteran requirements are not yet.
Most of the Canucks vets are in China.

Practice groups today for #Canucks. Expect Group 1 to travel to Calgary to face the Flames tomorrow. @Sportsnet650

Regarding the Canucks, a friend who watched them vs the Knights indicated that the quality of their lineup was very AHL. I suspect we'll see the same tonight.

Rick Ball is on Vancouver's new Sportsnet station AM650 right now, and he says that both Tkachuk and Giordano are out tonight.

Not really scared of anyone on that roster except for Boeser... That kid can play
The rest is pretty dust, looking forward to a lot of fire coming out of the jumbotron tonight.

Vet rule. I wonder if they would get some wiggle room with them being in China.

Play the bubble guys tonight, and then cut the holy heck out of this roster so we're ready to go this time on opening night.
Please.

I would imagine any roster issues the Canucks may have would be forgiven due to the China trip. In other words if they need to have a certain number of vets on the ice per pre-season game that would be ignored because they're doing the NHL a solid with the Chinese exhibition games.

Pretty much a make or break game for Brouwer and Smith to salvage their NHL careers.

Really hope this minor injury of Tkachuk's fizzles sooner than later. Would be lousy to see him limp out of the gate. I'd clearly also love to see Canuck fans reminded of who they passed up at the draft. Again.

No point on playing a veteran line-up against this Canucks team. Give Parsons at least half a game and use as many prospects as you can. After tonight's game start using a mostly NHL ready roster.
P.S. Can I watch this game online anywhere? I'm in Calgary.

I hope to see a major trimming of the roster after tonight's tilt so that the eventual roster can begin to playing together and gel.

I'm willing to bet you'll be able to see it. It's only us out of region peasants that aren't allowed to have nice things I'm afraid.
Edit: I stand corrected it seems. Lovely!

I honestly don't know how anyone can expect anything from pre-season games. The rosters are always badly unbalanced, different teams are prioritizing different elements of play and are looking for different things, and veteran players are using the games to work out kinks and polish their timing.
Literally anything can happen under these conditions.
