I saw this in the Android thread. That's quite a slash. Wonder how long it'll stay that price? IMO that's the price it should have been from the start.
32GB: $599
64GB: $649
The last time Google did a slash like that was about a month before the release of the next generation of Nexus. They're either
A) over stock
or
B) planning on bringing out the new line of Nexus phones in the next couple months.
I'm thinking it's A.
Yup. I think just not selling.

I've got a 64GB Nexus 6 coming today, little late in the one year cycle but I totally ruined my Nexus 5's LCD and Digitizer screen late last week. The newer price on the 6 wasn't so bad but a little annoying knowing I'll be missing out on a new N5.

200 bucks more. I buy off contract and being able to order from Google for 650 compared to walking into a Rogers store and paying 850 just wasn't something that interested me.
eh, i didnt think note 4's were still that expensive

Me too. But going to be hard to beat my N5. Really loving this phone still.
The N5 is a great phone and I love to tinker with it. The M developer preview 2 is running really well for me and I think M when it finally comes out will be quite nice. It's why I am interested in a new one but I don't want anything as big as the N6, just slightly bigger would be fine.

Liked my N5, but wanted something bigger. Got the LG G3 but really wasn't happy with it overall. Colours were completely washed out. The specs for the screen were ridiculous for a smartphone if you ask me and did nothing more than eat battery. The vibration on the phone was minimal at best and I had to root and use many different mods to turn up the volume to be able to hear it and scale down the CPU to ensure no overheating.
I finally gave up the other day and did a Kijiji swap for a Huawei Ascend Mate 2. This phone is awesome. Great colours, amazing battery life (2 days with heavy use) and a 6.1" screen. Man this thing is huge! Love it.
With all that being said, I think the Huawei 5.7" model that is coming out for Nexus phones will be my next phone. I'm liking what this company does.

Having had the Nexus 6 now for a couple weeks, I love it but I do miss my Nexus 5 at times. Thinking I might try to fix the screen myself, it would be nice to have as a back up. I'm loving the bigger phone for storage, battery life, videos etc, great speakers on the N6.. but the Nexus 5 was so close to perfect. Great size, that shocking gorgeous red back. Best phone I've had.

I picked up an LG G3 as well and just do not like the size/shape. It is massive. I just came from a Nexus 4, in which the battery was worn out, but the size was nice.
What did you value your G3 at for the swap? I'm wondering what a reasonable list price would be.

I listed mine for $250 OBO and other than trade offers, I got nothing. There are a lot of G3's listed on Kijiji. You'll be lucky to get $200 if you're selling it.
The tech giant is set to hold an event September 29 in San Francisco to unveil two new Nexus devices, according to people familiar with the company's plans. One smartphone will be a smaller version of a Nexus phone made by LG, while the second will be a larger version of a device built by Huawei.
Can't remember the last time they had an event to announce their latest phones. The Nexus 4 was supposed to have an event but was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy.
