I think it is a scam, everyone I know who has applied all got excellent.. and they can't accept everyone!

I don't currently have a guild with an active website so that field was left blank for me. When I entered something in that field, it changed my selection chance rating to excellent, so I just put the address that the site used to be.

Actually to get excellent you had to put that you worked in the video game industry or news. I am neither but I checked the box and then removed it and it stayed excellent so who knows
I got excellent without checking that box, for me it went to excellent as soon as I clicked on all of the PvP buttons for type of gameplay.
Shrug, I think it is like I said, they are going to give everyone excellent as long as they fill it out. Makes you feel better about your chances

New PvP trailer is out for ESO, also announced a release date of April 4th 2014. I will be giving this game a shot, if anyone else on CP is planning to we should try and end up on the same server. Not going in with a clan or anything, just a RL buddy, so the more people together the better!

I've been hearing some mediocre feedback for the beta, I'm willing to wait on some reviews. I would really like for an MMO to grab me again.
The genre seems to be limited by mostly innovation, technology and polish.
This one looks pretty standard IMO.
I'm pretty shocked at the low standands some companies keep setting themselves at for release. Bad servers, horrid bugs, unplayable conditions. Consider that fact that SWTOR had one of the worst bugs (PvP Honor), which allowed a significant group of the population to get the highest tier honor rewards in a matter of weeks, and left a large group of people still grinding for it.
One thing I do like about this game is all of the build options, between spec lines and weapon/armor abilities there are going to be endless combination types. Of course the cookie cutters will emerge, but still the level of freedom seems to be above what I have seen in my last few MMO's.
One thing I don't like is the 5 or 6 active abilities GW2 style, I hated that feature.

Almost everyone got in that signed up. Make sure you download early its a 21GB download and don't get your hopes up because the last few clsoed beta weekends were so busy many didn't even get to log in the whole weekend. Being a stress test I don't imagine it will be playable anyway.
Yea I downloaded the client last night, not expecting a whole lot, I will try and log in Saturday morning.
It would be nice to get in for a bit and run around, not a lot you can figure out about a game in 2.5 days of lag fest. I am more curious to see how my comp runs it, if at all.
One thing that has been neat though is access to the beta forums, lots of good information there that I have been curious about. Your access details are at the bottom of the first email they sent you.

Kind of funny, considering I pretty much have zero expectations.
The only way I could be disappointed is if I do the download and can't log in, but instead my computer catches on fire while some Khajit ninja emerge from the flames and guts me like a fish.
