Really want the Huawei one. Think I might take the plunge.

If the Huawei has a big juicy battery life - I'm all over it and retiring the N5...

...so tired to having to top up a charge. I miss the days of a blackberry lasting 3-4 days...

Hopefully both have quick charging. The battery life on my Nexus 6 is great and the quick charger makes it even better.

What happened to RedMile? Had to ask a mod to put the thread title back in, looks like he went back and edited all his posts to "nm" the other day.

I can't wait for the release of the new phones. My poor Nexus 5 is taking a beating and I really want to replace it.

Price point for LG Nexus 5X posted. 16GB will be $399USD, 32GB will be $449.... I wonder what the prices will translate to in Canadian dollars. probably $499 and $579??

Quote:
Perhaps the most important detail we gleaned from our source is the price of the Nexus 5X: the device will be affordable, but not as affordable as the original Nexus 5. The Nexus 5X will cost $50 more than the Nexus 5, according to our source. That means we can expect a starting point of $399 for the 16GB model and $449 for the 32GB model, assuming Google has decided to stick with 16GB for the base version.

Yeah, 499 for the 16GB here in Canada is what I'm thinking. Keep hoping they'll do more colours like the first Nexus 5, white black and blue is so standard and boring.

32GB/64GB should be the standard now, not 16/32.

These phones should be running M when they are released. I must admit I am getting great battery life on the third preview. Easily getting 18hrs with 4 or 5 hrs screen on. Unplugged over night I might lose a percent or two, Doze seems to work well. I've been impressed. The batteries should be of decent size as well in these new phones.

Shame, only having 32gb as the maximum storage kills the LG Nexus for me. And I will not buy a phone from Huawei or any other Chinese manufacturer

You really think Google is going to associate themselves with a vendor that will install malware on the device?

I would like to see some more proof of this malware.

Maybe he was busted as having an Ashley Madison account and erased the trail of his internet social activities.

Nexus 5X is now 50 bucks off as a Valentines Day sale. That coombined with a previous price drop makes it $389 for16GB and $499 for 32GB.

Nexus Protect program, which wasn't available initially in Canada is live as well (has been for a little while) can be added for 99 bucks. Nexus Protect gives you two years coverage for accidental damage. You're allowed to get a new phone twice over this two years for 99 bucks each.

I just bought a 16GB a few days ago for a family member. Thanks for posting this! You saved me another $50!
