I've never curled before, and I think I would have had a decent chance of making that shot.

Can't say I saw an 0-3 start for Homan.

Not only is Homan choking incredibly under the pressure of Canada, she completely rubbed me the wrong way in the 5th end by removing that burned rock.
I understand it was her right to make that decision, but very poor sportsmanship and curling etiquette.

As my coworker said watching it:
‘You’d only remove it if you’re playing as bad as Homan is right now.’
This isn’t a team anybody has seen before. It’s shocking.

Team Homan usually doesn't have a coach but instead a psychology guy.
I don't think he's there in the Team Canada setup and that might be affecting the team.

Meanwhile, the Canadian men are getting into their groove after a couple of less than stellar games to start the tournament. They're now 4-0 after defeating Korea 7-6.
Their next game is against the only other 4-0 team, Sweden.

Maybe. But they’re just playing very poorly, particularly Homan. That must be so disappointing for them. The front end looked gutted after that miss in 11.

just a reminder of how bad NBC is

With everyone excited to tune into NBC’s coverage of the men’s figure skating competition on Thursday’s prime-time broadcast, they were upset to see skiing on the network rather than the record-setting performance by American skater Vincent Zhou.
Early in the evening, 17-year-old Vincent Zhou of California became the first person to land a Quad Lutz at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Countless people took to Twitter to voice their support for the Olympian, but others were shocked to turn on their TV and find skiing rather than skating, as the prime-time listing for NBC advertised.

It’s worth noting that, although the prime-time broadcast missed Zhou’s performance, it managed to capture American skier Mikaela Shiffrin winning the gold medal in the women’s giant slalom event.

NBC's streaming coverage has been exceptional IMO.
