Naw man...I disagree.
I never watched this show when it came out, I saw it years later on Netflix. But it was released and aired at like 4pm (apparently) my daughter would race home from school to watch it.
If its an 'after-school' show...its a kid's show. But I mean...that was pretty heavy for a kid.

The boy and I binged the whole thing.
The series just made me love French Rugby even more.

I did too. I finished it last night.
That was great!
I actually developed a lot more respect for Irish Rugby.

Irish Rugby and it's set up is really first rate.
Even during the troubles Irish Rugby was able to pull players from North and South.
Also Shaun Edwards is a treasure.

One of the things that really surprised me...and I thought it was a really good juxtaposition for the show, was when they went and showed all of the different practice facilities and the Italian Rugby setup which...compared to everywhere else? Pretty shoddy.
Rugby is obviously trying to grow the game, so they've got to be a little more 'fast & loose' with the nationality requirements.
Italy having a Rhodesian and and Irishman I thought was pushing it a bit, but as I said in the Rugby thread...I dont know who this 'van Der Merwe' fellow was, but he's gotta have a lineage that rivals Genghis Khan. He was clearly a very desirable and busy man.

Off the top of my head The Irish has 2 (maybe 3) Kiwis and an Aussie. They had a South African as well.

But every country has a van der Merwe! Every. One!
That man must have been a Globe-Trotting Gigolo.
"Yes Madam...you may have my child...but they must play Rugby!"
