Sidestepping the legality issue and back to helping the OP.

You should only need one program - the torrent client (I guess you are using utorrent). Now all you need to do is find the .torrent file of whatever you are after that will tell your client what torrent stream you want.

Just a reminder to everyone, while downloading music in Canada is currently legal, most torrent sites have much more than music and there are many people who browse this site from outside Canada.

Please don't post links to torrent sites as it goes against the guidelines of the forum.

Linux distros are distributed via torrents, some game updates, public domain content, Rev3 content..........

Main stream media would save a ton of money distributing this way. It's not the fault of the protocol that they don't recognize the benefit.
