I wouldn't call them hacks. The implications of what is possible with cheap hardware and his innovative software his huge. I recently saw a very expensive 3d VR reservoir viewer that was prohibitively expensive and had less features than what he showed.

That is frickin incredible. Can you imagine watching a movie that was shot using some type of technology allowing someone with those glasses to move around and see different angles? Or a game like Duke Nukem where the player is running around, ducking, and peeking around corners?

How friggin cool would that be?
