Mario Galaxy is awesome. RE4 is really fun if you haven't played it on another system before. Bully is pretty cool if you like the GTA style games. Mario Party is fun if you have multiple controlers and a bunch of people to play with.
Virtual console rules for playing some golden oldies.

I played Boom Blocks on the weekend and it was surprisingly good. I would have to recommend it too.

I have Jenga, its hard but very fun.
Mario Kart and smash bros brawl are the only other games I have.
For frack sakes Wii come out with a descent tennis, game you know everyone will buy it sicne that is the most fun game on Wii sports. I am not looking for some official tennis, but it has to have good tennis mechanics. It can be cartoony graphics so long as the mechanics are solid.

Wouldn't be a bad choice. If you like puzzle games or even playing around with the gravity gun in Half-life 2 it's a great choice.
The multiplayer is quite good and very accessible to the casual gamer.
The fact that there's WC24 level sharing is a major bonus too. Give it a few months and I'm sure you'll be able to basically double the replay value of the game. I haven't used the level editor personally, but the comments I've read neoGAF led me to believe it's pretty deep.

No kidding, most of us are pining for a Mario Tennis like the Gamecube one, except with excellent Wii mechanics... its amazing that one hasn't been announced yet. I can understand why Mario Golf hasn't turned up with all the strong competition in that genre, but Tennis is practically untouched since Sega apparently did a pisspoor job of Sega Superstars Tennis.

There's Sonic Superstars Tennis, but that game was really a big disappointment. The Wii version could've have easily been better if they just copied Wii Sports' control scheme and added Nunchuk control of your player. Instead they replaced a button press with waggle and didn't bother with improving the already fairly deep controls in Wii Sports Tennis.

Mario Golf probably won't come anytime soon as the developer Camelot is currently finishing up We Love Golf which should be the best golf game on the Wii (and has online) when it gets released in July. I know Camelot is still interested in making Mario Sports games, but I doubt they want to make another golf game right away.
I'm sure Mario Tennis is next in line after the Mario Baseball game gets released this summer. Camelot did make the Mario tennis games on GCN and GBA so that seems like a logical choice.

The best thing about the Wii, well for me, is the virtual console. so many great old games!! I prob played more hours on Devil's crush(turbo grafx), then mario galaxy, super smash bros, and zelda combined.

I recently noticed River City Ransom is available in the Virtual Console. Thinking I'll buy that this weekend.
