This approach never made sense to me. I can guarantee the flames will lose at least three more games this season. Whether it's the next three in a row or spaced out is irrelevant. People get too caught up on the highs and lows some times

Long way to go but we are sitting pretty well. Lower number of head to head games with our standing rivals is a big advantage I think.

The Flames have been doing this pretty much all season. Where they have faltered more is in games against poor teams like Edmonton, Buffalo, Ottawa, NYR, etc.

Just to add to some of the schedule stuff I was looking at, man does April have to potential to be very interesting. The 8 teams the I looked at play 18 games, 10 of those are head to head. None of those head to head games involve Calgary. Schedule maker sure made things interesting down the stretch.

Well at least the Ducks and Kings lost. We didn’t lose any ground there. If the Coyotes somehow pull out a win over the Sharks, that would make losing today palatable.

The Wild won which puts them two points up on the Flames.

The Coyotes did hang on for the regulation win and that does not change anything in the Pacific Division standings. The Wild winning puts them 2 points ahead of the Flames in the western conference standings.

Yup, worked out real nicely. We played a potential president’s trophy winning team while the rest of the pacific played subpar opponents and also lost. Minnesota won but if you look at their final schedule, it’s a murderer’s row of opponents. So, personally wouldn’t panic too much. They’re still in tough.

Colorado won and now tied with the Flames in the conference standings, both teams just one point ahead of the Ducks and Kings.

Avalanche scare me a bit because they’ve kept up with out McKinnon and not only will be back soon, but i think their schedule is the easiest of all the Central teams.

I think somewhat the same. McKinnon is quite the "deadline acquisition" for them.

Will Thornton be back for the Sharks anytime soon?

Last I heard his knee injury was quite serious. Could be another little while.

Too lazy to look it up but is that not usually the case?
