Kind of a neat schedule quirk where the AHL affiliates played an afternoon game in the same arena where their NHL parent clubs would be playing later that night.
Heat were up 4-2 with 24 minutes left in the game, then gave up a goal with 7 seconds left in the 2nd. Found themselves down 5-4 in the 3rd until they tied the game with less than 5 minutes left in the game. End up losing 6-5 in OT.
2g + 1a for Mangiapane but he also turned over the puck and got danced around leading to the OT winner.
26 saves on 32 shots for Gillies.

Goalie Tyler Parsons from the Kansas City Mavericks got called up to Stockton today. They had called Mason McDonald from KC but now that Parsons is back from injury, he is ready to go. He’s been having a stellar season for the Mavericks so far
Ryan Huska's job is gonna be tough in the new year. Subtracting Kulak, Rittich, Janko, Hathaway, Mangiapane and Hrivik pretty much decimates the offense.
Big opportunity for Shinkaruk, Poirier and Klimchuk to step up and take the reins though...

Just going to mean lots of work for Gillies and Parsons!
