I'm not a fan of his music, but know who he is, as he gets mentioned on some of the YouTube channels I follow. The whole thing has gotten very out of control with these kids. The rappers are all 16-early 20s kids. Some are very much involved in hardcore gang activity and others just trying to be YouTube stars. It's at the point now where they are all taunting each other for YouTube views. As some of the people being taunted are "the real deal", I'd expect this to be the first of several murders revolving around this group of YouTube celebrities.

Yeah if anyone wants to look this guy up, he was an evil person. Not sure if it's a random drive by or not, but this guy definitely had enemies

XXXTentacion's death follows a year in which the young artist experienced breakout commercial success that was frequently overshadowed by his alleged history of domestic violence. Onfroy was facing 15 felony charges, including counts of false imprisonment, aggravated battery of a pregnant woman and domestic battery by strangulation, for incidents involving his ex-girlfriend in 2016.

No idea who this guy is, but it sounds like a case of 'play stupid games, win stupid prizes'. Not that anyone deserves to be shot, but the risks increase substantially when you live the lifestyle.

Never heard of him before today but I googled photos of him and he looked like he was dead in most of the pictures already.

RIP. Never been a fan of the guy but way too young.

This whole new hip hop scene of trying to be instagram famous is killing hip hop. Trying to say or do the most outrageous things just for likes is downright embarrasing.

I dont think its worse in terms of deaths compared to say the tupac/biggie era.

It's definitely not at the Biggie/Tupac numbers. Those totals were caused by there being clear and large camps of people, and the constant need for revenge killings.

As you say, a lot of these guys are just kids doing punk things on instagram.

I dont think he was evil, but he was certainly an idiot.

Sorry, I want to be sympathetic but the fact of the matter is that this is a case of:

"Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."

Overpopulation is a serious problem on this planet. I'm not going to lament the loss of this guy.

Edit: Holy ####, he was shot in Deerfield Beach which is 10 minutes from my house. *uncomfortably tugs on collar*

You should probably lay low on YouTube for a while.

Isn't this the guys who sexually assaulted his girlfriend with a BBQ fork or something like that? Seems relatively evil.

I'd never even heard of him until today. After Googling him and reading about him and his habit of beating up, threatening and strangling women, I say good riddance.

No, he was pretty evil. He committed very violent sexual assaults and threatened to sexually assault someone's toddler. I don't believe in capital punishment, but I hate the idea of rewriting history to make evil-doers out to be not that bad.

I think there's a lot of misunderstanding here. It looks like the guy was driving an expensive car and simply got robbed. This isn't a rival gang thing, a retribution thing or a lifestyle thing other than he was rich and someone wanted what he had. He might be guilty of his own crimes but his death was a crime of its own with no apparent motive other than a louis vutton bag.

It seems like the killers saw him driving around and looking at motorcycles. They followed him to a bank machine, and then to a motorcycle store, where XXXtentacion had the intention of buying a motorcycle with cash. He had a Gucci bag filled with enough cash to buy a motorcycle. When he resisted the robbers taking the bag, they shot him.
