Was just about to create this thread was shocked to see no one else had yet.

I'm super curious to see a) the quality of the feed and b) to remind myself how much different the game was played back then

I'm hoping someone has the ability to transfer the game to their computer then to Google Drive or something.

I have the ESPN broadcast in SD from the Greatest Flames Games DVD set, but my CBC broadcast is a crappy VHS transfer from back then.

Oh dear God...I dont know if I could take watching this game again.

Will it re-awaken the feelings of the first time? This game was so, so tense that I could barely stand it. Part me willing me not to look but my head and my heart adamant to absorb it all.

I'm not even sure that knowing how it ends will be enough to dissipate the tension.

Amazing series, but I felt slightly ripped off at the end haha..I first became diehard in 1991, right as all the game 7 OT first round losses started happening for us. 13 years later and I had still never experienced this team past the first round. When the Canucks tied it in the dying seconds I was SO mad, "of course, here we go again..".

I went outside during the intermission and just stared at the moon, cursing the hockey gods for dishing out more excruciating heartbreak. Didn't realize how long I was in that state for and OT had already started, next thing I knew my roommate came out saying we won. I figured it was still the intermission and he was just messing with me, I told him to #### off. He said it again so I bolted downstairs to see a victorious Iggy getting interviewed by Scott Oake, I can't believe I missed the series winning goal for the first time my team finally won a series!!

Was still a glorious moment, and I was sure to catch Gelinas' next series winner live. What a run..

was down in Cancun for this game, the hotel we were staying at was playing soccer on TV. Ended up going to a nearby resort which had a bar that was playing the game. certainly more canuck fans in there, which made it all that more sweet when the flames won.

Exact same thing happened to me! After the Canucks tie it I threw a pillow and almost broke my parents lamp. I got yelled at so I went on the computer to calm down. I lost track of time and I remember talking to my buddy on Messenger and he was like “holy ####”. Ran to the TV to watch them celebrate!!

It's scheduled for only 2 hours, so it will be an edited version of the game, not the full original broadcast.

Followed at 7 by the Fleury OT slide game.

Worked at the dome then, and that night there was WWE Smackdown event I believe. Event ended and we made it to Dutton’s lounge just in time for the 3rd period. Pandemonium in there when it ended, after the most depressed, in disbelief group of people I’ve ever seen after the Canucks tied it in the 3rd.

Might be my own personal favorite hockey memory. I can’t think of a better one

And the anger that the final minute created, with that jersey thrown on the ice and Iginla's stick getting chopped out of his hands, and nothing done in either case. Classic NHL officiating right there.

Oddly, I remember being calm during the INT leading into OT. I remember distinctly thinking: "Okay, but we're still on the PowerPlay". What a sense of jubilation once that goal went in--especially because Auld made those two unreal saves immediatley beforehand.

I remember watching this in my last year of uni here in Ontario at my place, wearing my old school flames away jersey, surrounded by nuck fans.

That game tying goal was SO deflating, when they scored in OT though... Damn, my top 5 favourite sports moment for sure

Iginla's best game? Probably at the top of the list in terms of his most memorable game (excluding the Olympics).

And something I just realized yesterday looking at some stats -- Steve Montador was in the lineup for the first time in the playoffs for game 7 (I think Gauthier was injured in Game 6). One of the unsung heroes of the 2004 run.

Oh, and one of the greatest Flames interviews of all-time afterwards:

Bonus: If you watch with the sound off, it looks like it's playing in fast forward. But it's not

The 2nd goal is easily one of my favourite goals ever.
