Why not? The season starts tomorrow. Go Vipers!

Let's see if they can finish the season.

I read an article that the XFL expects to lose 400 million in either the first year, or first three years, I can't remember which. They're hoping that TV contracts will turn it around. Sounds like a winning formula to me.

Well, I picked the Renegades as my favourite ball team used to play in their stadium, and it the stands/field look just awful set up for football.

XFL baby!

Hey, Hey Hey Hey, Living Like We're Renegades!

Also, their official twitter liked one of my sarcastic "Go Renegades" tweets, so it's cemented now.

I don't have an NFL team, but I do for the XFL.

I... I need another beer

I don't understand the mockery and hate before the actual product is on the field.
People like football, there is no football between Feb and June; this gives an opportunity to watch more football, why not give it a chance?

In that sense you’re 100% correct.

But I think they kind of asked for it by using the same name for this as before. The original XFL was such a monumental failure, and it’s name itself is more or less a punchline now.

I can’t fathom why they didn’t try to re-brand to a new name.

Haha, I was wondering the same thing. The O/U for this game is 51.5 and at the two minute warning it's 9-6. I haven't seen the whole thing, but the under looks pretty safe at this point!

Should have called it the HHMFL (He Hate Me Football League).

Looked at the rosters and the QB's seem pretty pedestrian (a couple of former NFL guys who busted, and some random smaller school guys).

It's not horrible, all things considered. Maybe things will be a little better once the team's get a game or two under their belt.

Interviewing the players as they're coming off the field between plays has already had its first live TV f-bomb.

Offensive lines are terrible.

you should take the under for all early games. Offensive lines are terrible and offenses are not in sync yet. This happened with the new football league last year as well.

Some lousy clock management there at the end of halftime. New league, new getting used to rules.

Its not bad football, the QB's need a lot of work, but getting an offense sync'd takes some time. I like the commentating teams right now, I like that they took the mic'ing of the coaches, and give an explanation of the terminology.

I also like how

I watched a little of the Roughnecks game. Their QB looked pretty good I thought. The football wasn’t bad.

yeah, he had some polish on him, but this is a league with definate 2nd tier QB's. the timing was a bit off offensively all day, but it wasn't bad, looked like decent crowds, and not as gimmicky as XFL 1

Yeah, a little unpolished, but not gimmicky.

The game has potential, I like a couple of the rules. No kicks after touchdowns is great,

Pretty impressed, having ESPN and Fox on board is huge as the broadcasts are professional and the level of play was decent.

I really liked the commentator breakdown.

Its funny because the CFL had the coaches and QB's miked but the commentators didn't really explain what a 21 bear z drag x burst gun fighter meant. It was almost like the XFL commentators had sat down with the coaches before the game and got an idea of what their playcalls were so they could actually show what was being run, I really liked that. The offenses overall were pretty basic, I expect that to change as the coaches learn what they have. There were some nice plays, but overall the defenses won the day.

I also liked that the coaches were willing to do a lot of fourth down gambles. I actually liked what I saw. Its still second rate football, but second rate football can still be enjoyable.
