Now that I think on it, it explains the style of posters like psycnet - put out a sentence or two that pretends to clever profundity while actually just being a drive-by troll. Twitter-style: thoughtful debate reinterpreted as ironic comedy by hecklers yelling at an empty stage.

Somewhat ironic that you would call out another poster for being a drive-by troll even if I agree with it to an extent. I don't take your comment towards me as a criticism seeing evolution and all. I was once a young know-it-all as well and now I'm the one that gets called out by the next generation of know-it-alls. You will one day understand this as everyone grows up.

But I'm not that old or out of touch. I simply only have enough time or space in my life to offend or be offended by others. There are so many communication mediums you can pick and choose and I choose not to follow twitter.

He has a very broad history of hate and harassment on twitter. I guess you missed what led up to this moment?

As I understand it, he didn't get busted for what he said, as Twitter said that was covered under Free Speech. What he got busted for was encouraging his followers to dogpile on, since apparently Twitter (I'm not a Twitter user myself) has rules against instigating dogpiles like that.

Milo Yiannopoulos, the tech editor at conservative news site Breitbart and a pretty notorious internet troll, has been suspended from Twitter for the final time. He’s now banned for good for repeatedly abusing other users, the company confirmed Tuesday.
Yiannopoulos crossed the line Monday when he went after actress Leslie Jones on the microblogging site.

Hmm...I wonder if he can put that on his business cards:

To be fair, I could have left out the part where EE is usually misguided - according to my fallible interpretation - but it happens so rarely that I agree with him that I thought I would emphasize the point. My apologies.
A few years back, someone else couldn't believe I had an actual job like the rest of the CP 1 percenters. That was pretty funny too, I think I said something positive about the Occupy movement so I had to be a dirty unemployed hippie

If you put a little effort into Twitter you don't have to deal with offensive tweets. But it sounds like you don't feel like doing that, which is fine. I hear the same complain about Reddit, and it's easily fixed by unsubscribing from the default subreddits, and looking for the quality ones.
Anyway, I didn't mean it as a personal attack. We all know how hip you are.

George W Bush didn't bomb Iraq himself, but that never stopped people from demanding he stand trial for war crimes.
Milo was perhaps Twitter's most notorious troll, with a long history of fronting harassment campaigns. His ban should have happened months ago.

I'm just saying I read all the twitter timeline to post what was on the previous page and he never encouraged or suggested that anyone engage in any such behaviour. Maybe he has a history to the contrary, I don't know; I've only really seen his stuff in interviews about campus politics.

Went and saw it and it was good light popcorn fare, was entertained, maybe because I was expecting the worst. There were some decently funny parts. I'd say a 6 or 6.5, second best Ghostbusters movie.

I liked it, Macarthy has worn thin on me but other than that it was a decent remake/tribute. Cameos were good, didn't even know Hemsworth was in it and he was pretty funny.
I really enjoyed the special effects, 3D was good and a bit cheesy but for this movie it seemed ok to be cheesy.
The only thing that really missed for me was Ecto-1. I love movie cars and this one was just blah.

See this right here is the measuring stick we should be using. No GB film is ever going to live up to or surpass the original, but how does it compare to GB2?
