I thought it was hit and miss, some parts either I didn't get or weren't funny and other parts I was pissing myself laughing.

When the guy cools his soup by waving the flag I just about died laughing. My wife also watches a ton of those home renovation shows and she actually watched this SP episode with me so that made it all the more funny.

And the ending was so clutch, just perfect how they brought it all back together. That is the South Park I know and love and have missed.

I just went to the Muchmusic website and watched it there. I did not have to log in nor were there any ads.

Episode 3 of this season has to be among the best they've ever done. Not surprisingly, it is a Randy episode, also known as "easily the best character on the show".

The old lady farts were hilarious but disturbing.

I thought the season premiere was weak, but episodes 2 and 3 were awesome. Using Tweek for the US/North Korea twitter thing worked pretty well, and a Randy-centered episode never fails to deliver. The Franchise Prequel thing was okay, too. I'm not interested at all in those Marvel/DC superhero movies, but I thought the movie schedule and the Facebook fake news parodies turned out fine and it's always good to see Professor Chaos. For an episode that was probably designed to be a commercial for the upcoming video game, I thought it was decent enough.

Overall not a bad season so far. Easily better than season 20 IMO.

Anyone still watching at this point?

This has been the worst season I can remember. Not funny, not provocative, not clever. Just really lame.

I haven't seen the most recent episode but so far the season has been a big improvement over the last few. The distracted driving and coon and friends episodes were an especially good return to form for the series.

The one episode I didn't really like however was the Halloween one "Sons of Witches". The stuff with Cartman's girlfriend had some laughs but I didn't understand the point of Randy with the witches and Mr. Garrison. I'm guessing they were trying to poke fun at Trump calling everything a "witch hunt" but I didn't get the satire and it just wasn't very funny.

The appeals to stupid and shallow traditions as justification for awful behaviour, and complaints about being painted with the same brush as the "bad witch" (as if there's such a thing as a good witch) probably should have been clues as to what the satire was aimed at.

... Or failing that, at least the pointy hats are a pretty clear giveaway.

I loved the bit with the 80s music playlist, especially when the Superbowl Shuffle came on!

The last 2 episodes were a very pleasant surprise, and a really solid way to end the season.

First episode was really solid, might be one of their best episodes in a while.

Any theories on the #cancelsouthpark following the show?

That was a dark episode. Not exactly hilarious but clever.

As for the cancel south park thing, I think it is just a bit of a joke. Matt and Trey have hinted that they want to be forced off the air before they run out of ideas and ruin the show or something to that effect.

The Cumbie sound effects were just ridiculously stupid. I cracked up every time.
