Just move on from that one ... some odd calls, some bad discipline, and some Murphy's Law

I actually don't mind the blender approach it's been somewhat effective this season.
I think the question for Gulutzan is who you blender? Do you have a pair for each line that is stable and blender the "buddy" or do they blender the "core" players on some of the lines. We've seen both this season.

Hope the game is a wake up for the Flames, they have not played well this season.... Mike Smith has won games for the club where they would have lost last season...
Flames had no pressure what so ever, odd game.

Not sure I agree.
I thought they had a very good first half against a team that can be pretty stifling.
Did themselves in with penalties.

Flames were just off last night. They had very little quality chances nor any real pressure.
Not sure why they are a slow starting team
Coaches will say, this is what we were talking about after the LA trip....

If they win tonight they are 4-2 out of the gates, that's what I would consider a good start to the season.

Up until this game the blender consisted of Gaudreau and Versteeg switching spots on Monahan/Ferland and Bennett/Lazar lines.

For sure, however
Flames need to sharpen up their game or they will start to lose....
Flames are giving up to many chances...... taking to many penalties.
Last game, they simply were off.... they generated very little in the offensive zone.
Reminds me of last season at this time.
