Zibanejad Traded to Columbus
Mika Zibanejad's stay in San Jose was short lived when he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday. The Sharks were deep at C and were having trouble plugging guys into the lineup because there were so many restrictions. Most of our guys playing C could now play the W causing some interesting challenges.
Coming to San Jose is Nino Niederreiter. Nino gives us a nice option on the W and allows us to move Pavelski back to C where he belongs.
This trade helps both teams in areas where they needed it the most. The Sharks are ranked #1 in FO % so we hope that can continue even without Mika.
