I always thought that the Dyaltov Pass Incident was incredibly creepy

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyatlov_Pass_incident

9 hikers ended up dead, their tents had been torn open from the inside and some of them were barefoot as if fleeing in terror. Two victims had skull fractures, both classed as being caused by a force much greater then what a human could generate. One of the victims was missing her tongue. Forensic tests showed that their clothing had a high level of radiation.

That's awesome!

The the two Dutch girls I believe were probably attacked by a wild animal. The other four, I have no idea.

The disappearance of Elisa Lam, the elevator video, and the discovery of her body is a mystery that still creeps me out:

That Elisa Lam one's creepy, never heard of it before. As someone who's already a complete wuss for supernatural/paranormal stuff, why did I decide to click the link and watch that video while I'm in the washroom in a deserted hallway in a Calgary Heritage building? I'm as good as dead..

Ok, Ill play.

Personal story from this past year as I was doing some work for a client.

I was sitting down for some lunch reading CP on my phone as usual when I thought I heard feet shuffling in the opposite room. Naturally I figured my client was just getting home so I put down the phone and waited for my client to come into the room I was in so I could engage in conversation. Silence. So I got up and poked my head into the other room to see whats up and nobody was around. No big deal, didn't think much of it and forgot about it.

FFWD three hours later. I'm still working in the same room I ate lunch in, now with my headphones in. I turned around to grab a tool and as I did that I see a man, a big man, approx 6'2" 250 lbs cross the entrance of the room. Obviously my client was now home so I removed my earbuds and shut down my podcast to speak with him. Silence. I then went to the other room to speak with him (maybe 15 seconds had passed) and nobody was there.

I looked and there was no place they could have been hiding, there was no way they could have left that room without me seeing them, he was just gone. There was one other person in the house at the time but there is absolutely no way it could of been them.

This left me scratching my head. Weird experience really when I think back on it, especially coupled with the feet shuffling earlier in the day.

Now a question of etiquette and something I've wrestled with, do I tell my client about this or leave it be? I'd love to know more about the house if there have been other instances or maybe another explanation but the other side is I don't want to spook anybody by bringing up a discussion of this nature.

Interesting conundrum I find myself in.

Elisa Lam story is just super creepy. The way she looks around the elevator, stays in that one corner as if someone is in there with her and even from the video you can tell she is scared.

Cecil Hotel in LA has had some creepy instances in the past as well.

D.B. Cooper is my favourite.

Quote:
D. B. Cooper is a media epithet popularly used to refer to an unidentified man who hijacked a Boeing 727 aircraft in the airspace between Portland, Oregon, and Seattle, Washington, on November 24, 1971, extorted $200,000 in ransom (equivalent to $1,170,000 in 2015), and parachuted to an uncertain fate. Despite an extensive manhunt and an ongoing FBI investigation, the perpetrator has never been located or positively identified. The case remains the only unsolved air piracy in American aviation history

Yup, just not linking it because there's several different sources for best creep factor and not sure which I prefer.
for a taste:
Quote:
At night, Gene's parents overheard him having conversations with Robert. He would talk in his usual voice and a different voice would reply. Mr. and Mrs. Otto assumed that Gene was using a put-on voice to speak as Robert. As the years passed, they began to question this assumption.

I haven't read the entire story behind the Lam mystery, but from the video it looks like someone going through a psychotic break.

I remember seeing a recent paranormal show that talked about this incident, very creepy indeed.

There was also a horror / fictional documentary about it, that was released in 2013. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1905040/
