Same as everyone else.
Flames, Bruins, Jackets all rumoured in on Hall from guys like Friedman (this morning before free agency started), but since free agency started it has been silent around Hall.
Thought was that he was going to listen to team pitches, digest, then make a decision - and that it may take a day or two.

Now that we have our goalie locked up, the only player we should be focusing on is Hall.
Depth signings and filling out the roster can be done in a week through one year deals and PTOs.
We’re spending money on the opening day of UFA - if we’re getting stars and 6-year starting goalies, pay the freight.
Otherwise, see who’s hungry a week after Thanksgiving.

I’m far from a cap expert here, but what could we realistically offer Hall when factoring in re-signing the RFAs and plugging in some league minimums

Not enough unless you move out some salary (Ryan). If you do, maybe $8 or so.

Wasnt the rumor that if Hall comes in Gaudreau goes out?
That how the cap money would work.

If the Flames are still looking at forwards two guys they could look at are Namestikov and Fast from the Rangers. Probably less money than other guys but both played quite well for NYR last year.

Rick dhaliwhal saying barries number is expected to be around what shattenkirk got, canucks, flames, and oilers all interested
Canucks have some interest in brodie and also have re engaged with tanev

Defenseman Anthony DeAngelo, New York Rangers: Pending restricted free agent DeAngelo (15 goals, 58 points in 63 games) looks like a prize young puck mover, but plugged-in New York Post columnist Larry Brooks reported that the Rangers are looking to trade him. According to Brooks, one reason is the Rangers want their defense to look like it has room for coveted 2018 first-round pick Nils Lundkvist. If the defense had DeAngelo, Fox and Jacob Trouba, Lundkvist may exercise his opportunity to become an unrestricted free agent. The Calgary Flames are looking for an offensive defenseman. The Toronto Maple Leafs might also be interested. The Detroit Red Wings should also make a call.

We dont have very much cap room for overly expensive players, ala Hall. Even a 5 million dollar defencemen would be pretty tough to fit with Mangi's new contract coming up. I feel like if we are to make a pitch to Hall it has to start with a trade. Which has got to be Ryan leaving and maybe for even more cap space Lucic. I wish we had a thread to discuss the cap.

This is Very good news IMO. Shat only got 3.9. I would do up to 4.5 for Barrie (or Brodie for that matter.)

The Flames have $10,910,834 for 8 spots( if you want to use all 23 spots so lets say they only use 22 spots meaning 7 spots).
my estimates would be
Mangiapane + Kyllington = 4m leaving you 6,911 for 5 players
Yeleshin $925,000
Petrovic $700,000 = 5,286,000 for 3 forwards .
Pelletier $894,167
Phillips $733,333 = 3,658,500 left over for Taylor Hall
in order to touch that 7 mill range that it would likely take the Flames, they would have to find a cap dump. Even if I am a million over my Kyllington+ eatbread estimates 4.7 mill or what ever would still be 2.5 m short of what the Flames would need. Even a Ryan buyout wouldn't give them to room they need.

A baker’s dozen. You can never have too many goalies. They’re like kickers.
