Is there a reason for the early start in Las Vegas?

So torn. Sharks are direct competitors. But Leafs losses are delicious.

Go Caps. Go Devils. Avs and Knights can beat each other up all they want (that should be a great game actually).

Didn't they say when they brought the NHL to Vegas that they wanted some earlier start times to let residents have more chances to watch games? Given how many work in tourism there I can see that being a factor.

So the Knights, who most experts predicted would be the favorite to come out on top of the Pacific, and who most everyone considered here to be a legit contender, have exactly one more point than the Flames, through 12 games. Will this abate some of the negativity?

I didn’t see the canucks being where they are so far. Could still fall off a cliff, but didn’t seem like they made any huge changes in the offseason (Geordie Benn- not exactly a Norris candidate) and they are getting the wins.

Seems weird to single out Benn when the Canucks also added Tyler Myers and Micheal Ferland on long-term deals. Quinn Hughes is new, too.

Also, JT Miller. The guy is only 2nd in team scoring

Hmm, good point. Haven’t heard much from Ferkland but forgot about Myers and thought Hughes was there at the end of last season. So focused on what the flames and oilers were doing I guess they did add more than I thought .

The sportsnet Canuck panel is talking to this dude Andrew Walker. Wasn’t he the guy who did the sarcastic player profiles for fan 960? Now covering canucks?

Caps climb back to 5-5.

Monumental collapse by Canucks after holding a 5-1 lead with 20 minutes and 3/10s of a second left in the game.
10 min left in3rd.
