No 12 points still on the line but it makes it almost impossible.

Not quite yet. It would be 22 points against 14 with 12 remaining. A win on Wednesday would do it. Panama are in Mexico on Wednesday.
Question is, if Canada qualifies on Wednesday what does Herdman do in March? Are there players he wants to look at?

Wild times if beating ES and other results going their way will book the ticket to the WC in 3 DAYS.

US still plays Mexico. That makes it tough for both of those teams to pass Canada.

Bring back alumni players from 1987 to the 2018 qualifying campaign for the last 3 games

Canada is 8 points up on them with 4 games left if Panama loses today so it's not technically done no matter what but Panama still has to play Canada (home) and the US/Mexico (away) among their remaining games so good luck with that.
Costa Rica is now 10 points back and gets Mexico today. They finish with Jamaica, El Salvador, US & Canada. Easier but still very very difficult to makeup the ground they need.
So things are looking golden for Canada. I agree with the other posts saying the goal now has to be finishing first. There is no reason not to at this point.

The US still has to go to Mexico and Costa Rica. They are not out of the woods yet.

If they qualify on Wednesday, give Joel Waterman a look on the back end in March please.

Cautiously looking ahead, I know there is seeding in the last games, but really, the important games once we qualify are what (goodness forbid) the CSA schedule for friendlies.
There has to be a few international windows between April and September to play some different teams to prepare for the freaking WC.

What an electrifying result!! I am so proud of our Men’s national program and how far they’ve come in the last few years. Bringing in John Herdman was a stroke of brilliance.
Winning these last two matches without Davies and Eustaquio is huge and a great sign of the depth and just how good they are. What a team!

The last couple of matches are almost certainly going to be meaningless. I'd use those games to cap Daniel Jebbison and offer a spot to Marcelo Flores, who can still switch to Canada despite having appeared for Mexico.
The most interesting player still eligible to play for Canada is Calgary born Fikayo Tomori. Getting him on board would be unbelievable. He's still eligible despite having played for England in a Euros qualifier.
