Kids and I were just out - things seem much easier to catch again. Hopefully this lasts (I won't have to farm pokeballs for them each day).

If you maxed it out, once your trainer goes up a level, the pidgeot will no longer be maxed out.
So basically any specific Pokémon at any level of trainer is the same, just at different CP points along the curve.
If that made any sense...
That's not quite what I was getting at, but you answered my question.

Basically, I was asking if powering up would fill up (so to speak) the CP arc. I know the only way to increase maximum possible CP is to level up (which extends the arc).

So a power up only gives them about 25 CP points? Yikes. Makes powering up and evolving a very fine science.

In general you want to catch a High CP base Pokemon that's almost full then evolve them. So if the second stage to third stage takes 100 and the first takes 50 you really want to get 150 CAndies before you start upgrading. As you want to wait until you are higher level and catch a high CP base Pokemon.

So you guys were right with the newest version having pokemon running away a lot more frequently, it seems there is a bug that Niantic noticed and will fix.

I was thinking it was odd when a 60CP eevee was orange ring and I couldn't catch it.

I think it's a little disingenuous of Niantic to say this is a bug.

They had to deliberately change the code to make them more difficult to catch. It was moved so far that it was fairly obvious to anyone who played that they changed it.

They just wanted people to have to buy more pokeballs. The reason they are backtracking is that it pissed everyone off so much.

I'm sure there will be more changes aimed at getting people to open their wallets wider and more often. But I bet they are harder to notice from now on.

I was at the Jubilee Auditorium last night for a concert...I was stunned at how many pokestops and gyms were around there/SAIT. If you are looking for a tightly packed area to fill up on an easy walk, I'd head that way.

Yeah, my bad. I misunderstood the mechanics. I figured that the limiting factors were stardust and your level but it does look like there is a cap on CP. Darn.

Sort of funny. I'm playing 36 holes tmrw. 3 friends have purchased a full round of incubators and want me to take their phones with me. lol. Best part is, one guy is in his 50s, the other two are ladies in late 30s. Despite all the bugs and tracker frustrations, how many games have attracted this age range?

Sounds like someone did the math and if you are over level 33 then for sure its a botter. Also sounds like there is going to be a big ban spree coming very soon for the cheaters. I certainly hate seeing 2900 CP snorlax's in a lot of gyms.

I saw that the moment they blocked the bots the server usage went down by 50%, this makes sense. I had that bot run for 24hrs and it went to level 26 with 340k dust and a crazy amount of candies. People were actually running upwards of 50 accounts at once for weeks and now are selling the accounts. I'm glad they found a way to stop this for now.

From my understanding bots still work. Its the 3rd party websites that were causing this to happen like pokevision. Every time you clicked on the map it would send a request. Now have millions of people clicking non-stop - that is a ton of requests.

Bots don't work as they access the API the same way the 3rd party websites did. PC playing still works as its just using an android emulator and running the software like a phone.

Some player named imlouie took over the gym by my house, the Red Arrow Station by my work and the Bow with multiple 2700+ CP Pokemon. He also went from lv 32 to lv 35 in about 2-3 days as I was observing him. Guy must be a botter then. May he rot in Hell!

I have no real idea, but guessing that going from level 32 to 35 must take a couple million xp...

Just hit level 20 and I'm already super bored with the grind. I'm getting pretty bored with the game now in general to be honest.

Really upset they haven't fixed the catch rate yet. There should be no way a level 14 trainer should have difficulty catching anything under 150 CP.

There is a 304 CP Raticate in the office that has broken free from 5 great balls with Razz Berries. Never had that trouble before.

All the gyms in the west end of downtown are owned by the same group of people (imlouie being one of them) that are all level 32-38 and they filled all the gyms with high level dragonites and snorlaxes.

Banhammer can't come soon enough!
