Might have already been asked/answered so I apologize, but I assume you need a Shaw Cable account, and not just Shaw Internet?

Just sign up for a Shaw account on there website. Same as if you wanted to log in to Shaw go WiFi. And I think you have to subscribe to some sort of TV package.

You need to be a Digital TV subscriber.

Does anyone notice high latency on their Shaw service lately? or is it just my area of the city?

I just moved out of downtown, and into the Southwood area. I'll game on the PS4/PC occasionally, and now I notice that the latency rates are considerably higher when gaming. I'm going from 50-60ms response times, to 120-200ms response times to the same servers.

My son was complaining about latency, but then discovered his PS4 was working off wifi instead of LAN. Haven't heard if going back to LAN solved the problem or not.

I almost think that if the PS4 ever doesn't have LAN it will fail over to wifi, and not go back unless you change the settings again.

We only discovered by accident as I plugged the LAN in his room directly into the Shaw modem instead of the switch. Then I had to unplug the wireless router upstairs quickly, and he said he lost connection.

I mean, I have a smoking connection, but sometimes the Game servers are the laggards. NHL 16 always lags. Don't think it is a shaw issue.

Getting a lot of tearing on my gateway though. Wondering if it is a failing hard drive issue.

Yeah, I've always kept my PS4 hardwired, with past experience with the PS3 Wifi being really crappy.

I only noticed this after moving, haven't had a chance to call them yet with all the moving hassle. But shortly I'll give them to ring to see what they things as well.

I'm no longer a Shaw TV subscriber, but my login works for Shaw GO for channels that I used to have.

I open the free range app, it asks me to add the device, which I do, but then it just tells me "Free range is available in my area", and gives me a phone number to order the service.

I'm suprised your go app still works. Once their servers update it will likely stop working.

The apps have worked for around 8 months now after I cut my cable. I don't think it's changing at this point. I am, however, hesitant to make any changes to my Shaw account.

If you want to keep your Go apps running, that's probably a good idea.

Anyone know what happened to Shawshaun. He used to post on CP quite a bit. Then just disappeared.

We're getting no dial tone on our shaw home phone. In Airdrie.

My in-laws are on the opposite end of Airdrie and also have the same issue.

My internet works, but there's doesn't. Haven't checked TV yet. Anyone else having issues?

Shaw/Global posted about it a while ago. It's out for a bunch of people, in Calgary, Edmonton and several outlying areas. Ours is down as well - we have a dial tone, but can't phone out, or receive calls. TV and Internet seem to be fine.

I'm surprised I haven't noticed. When did this happen?

It sounds like the roll-out happened late last week for most customers.

A couple of weeks ago, I received a mail out form Shaw advising they had upgraded the network in my area and should bring my old modem in to swap out for a new one to take advantage of the upgraded network. Has anyone tried out the new modem? I heard somewhere you can't bridge this one? I find that a bit hard to believe and I usually slightly exceed the d/l limits I'm supposed to get and wondering if there is any point in swapping out the modem?

If you've already got a DOCSIS 3.0 modem/router from Shaw and you've bridged it to your own AC dual band router, I can't imagine you'd need to get the new modem from Shaw.
