He's gonna have to change numbers. Hopefully he can redeem #44 after years of misuse.

I can almost see Kylington being the seventh D next year, and having him train and develop to be able to play both the right and left side.

I appreciate people wanting to just state a list of the best players and plunk them into spots, but on defense the sides matter.

With such a strong left side, I could see a plan like this in place for him. He certainly has the wheels to cover up any mistakes on the learning curve.

Wasn't Kylington in one of the trade rumours that fell through... Alexander Edler?

Igor Eronko @IgorEronko
Expect the #Flames to announce signing of D Alexander Yelesin soon since he was cut from team Russia and didn't travel to Bratislava

This means the Flames are likely moving on from Josh Healey by signing a physical defenceman in Yelesin.

A lot of work needs to be done on Stockton's blue line.
The only other Stockton defenceman currently under contract is Andrew Neilsen.

I get a feeling Yelesin is fighting for the #3 RD spot in camp after tree cuts the cap fat. Granted Yelesin will have some adaptation issues to the NA ice size. But the guy plays in the 2nd best league in the world. Dare I say hes pro ready. We will see but I think Stone, Brodie and Prout wont be here. Leaving an open comp for that #3 RD slot.

seems to already have a hate on for former oilers prospects and players. Wonder how much emotion he will bring against the no good?

Oh man, I didn't even realize it was against Scrivezina. That makes it even better.

Not sure what will become of Yelesin but I like his short fuse. He was having none of that nonsense from Yakupov
